VA Home Loan Benefit for Washington State Veterans and WA Active Duty Military
Many Washington Veterans and WA Active Duty Military Personnel have access to higher VA guarantee limits in the Puget Sound Area counties: King, Snohomish, and Pierce. (San Juan too). The higher VA Guarantee allows Washington Vets the opportunity to purchase a home with zero downpayment up to $481,250 in select Puget Sound Counties (King County, Snohomish County, and Pierce County). This includes the cities of Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Kirkland, Redmond, Woodinville, Rention, Everett, Federal Way, Auburn, Kent, Puyallup, Issaquah, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Shoreline, and all other cities within these counteis. Seattle VA Loans are available up to $481,250 with no down payment.

In 2008, the US Congress authorized increases in the VA Loan Benefit by increasing the Entitlement available to Vets in higher cost areas.
